Job Description

Lamar Johnson Collaborative is the design division of Clayco, a fully integrated Design-Build firm. This position is with the Advance Strategies group, which offers pre-design services in Real Estate Strategy, Facility Planning, Workplace Strategy and Change Engagement. Assignments may include all aspects of our projects, such as conducting research, documenting existing conditions, space needs analysis and forecasting, occupancy strategy recommendations, and production of deliverables. We are looking for an individual that is self-motivated, enjoys a fast-paced team environment, communicates well, and has great follow-through skills.  Responsibilities:

• Support the Advance Strategies practice across several markets & building types (Corporate, Government, Healthcare, Higher Education, and Science & Technology)
• Coordinate with the team to achieve project objectives, namely Sr. facility strategists
• Investigate and learn new tools & methods for gathering and analyzing information
• Documentation, synthesis and reporting of quantitative and qualitative information
• Assist in creating presentations, reports and deliverables e.g. diagrams, charts, graphics, etc.
• Conduct research on project specific data, industry best practices and trends. Skills & Qualifications:
• Good verbal, written and graphic communication skills
• Strong problem solving and time management skills
• Detail and results-oriented with a sense of urgency
• Self-starter - comfortable working independently and uses discretion when needed
• Team player - effective and contributor in a collaborative team-oriented environment
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) programs
• Desirable, not required: Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.); Experience with drawing programs such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp; Working knowledge of GIS (e.g. QGIS, OSM, ArcGIS) Requirements:
• Entry level to five years of work experience
• Bachelor’s Degree – preferably  Design related (Architecture, Interior Design, Planning and Urban Design)
• Travel is anticipated to be up to 25% for this position and is based on project requirements, timing is mutually agreed upon and advance notice is always provided.
