    Job Description

    Baton is seeking a highly motivated, intellectually curious and enthusiastic BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE - TELESALES to contribute in generating new customers for our company. You will be responsible for closing new customers over the phone, maintaining customer relationships and working closely with the customer care team ensuring customer success. 

    An effective Business Development Executive must be an excellent communicator and have superior people skills. They must be comfortable presenting financial products to small businesses over the phone while managing objections. 

    As a Business Development Executive, you will:

    • Execute the Baton telesales acquisition and growth strategy
    • Prospect for new customers through existing leads and maximizing lead generation tools 
    • Execute sales activities in a timely manner – leads, campaigns & referrals 
    • Track and report sales performance including pipeline, acquisition results and market conditions
    • Ensure quality and daily productivity targets are achieved or exceed for the acquisition of new customers
    • Research and understand prospects before making the call 
    • Drive the on-boarding of new customers and initiate customer success activities 
    • Work with marketing and sales management to ensure effective lead generation and pipeline management 
    • Develop a strategic sales plan to drive customer acquisition, grow transactional volume, identify business opportunities, drive collaboration, drive continuous improvement and eliminate inefficiencies
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Required

    •  3+ years of proven TELESALES WORK EXPERIENCE (financial, SaaS, technology, insurance, telecommunications, etc...)
    • Experience in Outbound Business to Business (B2B) Account Development/Management for small to medium business accounts 
    • Experienced in driving sales outcomes through ownership of sales targets and KPI management
    • Ability to articulate and deliver value propositions and overcome objections
    • Proficient in verbal and written business communications
    • A positive, tenacious attitude and a growth mindset
    • Track record of consistently obtain new business or growing existing business relationships
    • Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Internet, navigating multiple windows, using phone diallers)
    • Bachelor's degree

     

    Preferred

    • Experience with online CRM tools (Salesforce.com, Outreach.io)
    • Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing or equivalent discipline or equivalent B2B work experience
    • Experience coaching outbound telesales teams 
    • Bilingual in Spanish
