Student Organizers will be part of the Student Organizing Academy program. The program is a 10 week, metric-driven opportunity that trains and assists students on how to increase civic engagement on their college campus. Student Organizers will be required to dedicate several hours a week to the academy program. They will be responsible for volunteer recruitment and development, and increasing civic engagement participation on campus. All Student Organizers will report directly to a Regional Organizer responsible for their campus.
Roles and Responsibilities
Ability to dedicate several hours to the program and meet metrics assigned to them at onboarding
Create strong communication channels that engage students and organizations on campus both in-person and online
Ready to energize students to organize their campuses and become civically engaged
Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to build one-on-one relationships and facilitate productive, positive group cultures
Desire to engage and train others to successful actions and increased independence
Strong organizational skills, experience meeting deadlines, and the ability to multitask effectively and manage conflicting priorities
