    Job Description:

    As an Entry Level Accountant specializing in inventory management, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate recording, tracking, and reporting of inventory-related transactions within our manufacturing operations. You will collaborate closely with various departments, including procurement, production, and finance, to maintain precise inventory records and support strategic decision-making processes.

    Key Responsibilities: Inventory Monitoring and Control:

    Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.

    Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and recorded inventory.

    Implement inventory control procedures to minimize losses, damages, and obsolete inventory.

    Inventory Valuation and Reporting:

    Prepare inventory-related financial reports, including inventory balances, cost of goods sold (COGS), and inventory turnover ratios.

    Analyze inventory data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

    Process Improvement:

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline inventory management processes and enhance efficiency.

    Recommend and implement improvements to inventory control systems, procedures, and policies.

    Identify and address root causes of inventory discrepancies to prevent recurrence.

    Compliance and Audit Support:

    Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls related to inventory management.

    Assist in internal and external audits by providing accurate inventory records and supporting documentation.

    Implement corrective actions based on audit findings to strengthen inventory management practices.

    Communication and Collaboration:

    Communicate effectively with stakeholders across departments to coordinate inventory activities and resolve issues promptly.

    Work closely with purchasing and production teams to forecast inventory needs and optimize inventory levels.

    Collaborate with the finance team to incorporate inventory data into financial planning and budgeting processes.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

    Strong understanding of accounting principles and inventory management concepts.

    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with inventory management software (e.g., ERP systems).

    Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail.

    Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

    Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
