Floor and upholstery maintenance technician
MilliCare® Floor & Textile Care provides Care Plans that extend beyond just carpet and textiles to include performance coatings, tile & grout care, general maintenance floor care, entryway systems, and protective care services, including odor neutralizer and fiber protection.
Technicians work will learn various processes and appropriate chemicals for deep cleaning of floors and upholstery. As a technician you will begin training with a team with the goal of being able to work completely independently. Many jobs will require a team effort with a mix of divide and conquer or closely working with another technician. This is a process that will take time. To start you need to be on time, willing to work and learn. The rest we can teach.
The goal is to become a skilled technician who can work completely independently, choose proper equipment and chemicals, performing service, able to engage customers and log a short form showing before and after pictures and any trouble areas.
Responsibilities
Uniform worn properly and in proper condition.
Clock-in/out, immediate review and accurate completion of paperwork, mixing chemicals proper loading/unloading/inventory of equipment and chemicals on vehicles
Quick assessment/trouble shooting of equipment
Proper use of vehicles both driving and cleaning
Keeping the warehouse tidy/efficiently organized, daily/ongoing maintenance and cleaning of all used equipment, recording daily chemical usage, unloading of all equipment from vehicles post job, conducting ongoing maintenance of equipment
Good understanding of logistics of each account such as security, access to custodial closets, proper entry and exit, giving direction as to the game plan and approach to cleaning of the evening's facility(ies), ensuring security procedures as defined by the customer are followed
Able to work independently or with a team
Trusted to make best judgement calls as experience grows
Gain expertise to become an expert in the use of the array of MilliCare chemicals and cleaning tools and ability to demonstrate the MilliCare cleaning process for clients
Efficient time/work management to obtain desired results.
Qualifications

Ability to learn technical specifications and to follow manufacturer recommendations
A can-do attitude that finds ways to make things happen yet comfortable asking for help as needed.

Basic math skills to calculate square footage
Committed to client satisfaction--a customer-first orientation
Must have a valid California driver's license
Must be able to legally work in California
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
Excellent problem-solving skills
Someone who pays attention to details--they don't just perform a job, they make sure that the work meets or exceeds customer expectations
A clear and honest communicator
Comfortable working "swing shift" hours from 5PM to 1AM
Background check and driving record will be checked
