    PAY RATE: $50,000/YEAR + 3% COMMISSION ($100,000+ AFTER COMMISSION)

     

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Artificial Grass Sales Representatives contribute to company sales objectives by assisting customers at their home. This individual will provide world class customer service, working directly with clients to understand their purchasing and project needs, and matching them with the product that best supports their ultimate vision. The Artificial Grass Sales Representative is expected to seek out new sales opportunities, constantly expanding and developing relationships with homeowners and commercial accounts.

    GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Greets and interacts with customers.

    2. Consults with customers to understand their needs and preferences related to project/merchandise.

    3. Demonstrates and explains merchandise, selecting and suggesting options suitable for the customer’s needs.

    4. Answers customer’s questions about project/merchandise.

    5. Assists customers with purchase decisions.

    6. Meet sales goals and objectives

    7. Follow up on sales activity to ensure customer satisfaction and client relationship development

    8. Seek avenues to develop new client relationships

    9. Maintain knowledge about all current products and services. Research local competitors products and cost points

    10. Track and maintain all leads and accounts in CRM staying current on status

      1. Follow up on leads, contacts, referrals and established accounts with frequency
    11. Self-generate leads and contacts by marketing through social media, craigslist, cold calls, etc.

    12. Perform outgoing lead generation calls on a regular basis and track through CRM

    13. Participate in marketing events i.e. trade shows, fairs and in-store events

    REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

    1. Excellent verbal communication skills.
    2. Excellent active listening skills.
    3. Excellent sales and customer service skills.
    4. Extensive knowledge of the merchandise sold.
    5. Ability to anticipate customers’ needs.
    6. Ability to recommend merchandise to customers.
    7. Ability to operate or to quickly learn the store’s point-of-sale system
    8. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
    9. Knowledge of successful lead generation (cold calling, social media, etc)
    10. Proven track record of providing first-rate customer service, focusing on the customer experience
    11. Maintain a positive, up-beat, attitude

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    1. High school diploma or equivalent
    2. Minimum of 2 years in retail sales, or similar position, including processing sales and handling currency

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. Prior experience with Artificial Turf, Landscaping, or construction sales
