    Leading boutique lifestyle PR, marketing and social media firm, Bay Bird Inc, is now accepting resumes from interested candidates for a Social Media Coordinator position in our San Diego, California office. Established in 2008, we are a female owned and operated nest of culture ambassadors— passionate, results-driven publicists and media experts. Our next bird will join the growing digital team and work in concert with both lifestyle and culinary publicists to execute strategic campaigns for our award-winning portfolio clients.

    The ideal candidate is a creative thinker obsessed with the world of ‘digital,' who understands the social media landscape and constantly strives to keep up with the latest trends. We want someone who can build long-term relationships, spearhead multi-pronged creative and influencer marketing campaigns, and set benchmarks and analyze data so that goals are consistently being met.

    RESPONSIBILITIES WILL LIKELY INCLUDE:

    *Collaborates with communications team to create compelling social media content, both from a verbal as well as an image perspective. Assists with brainstorming and storyboarding campaigns through generating creative ideas and writing copy

    *Captures monthly high-quality original photo content

    *Engages on client social media accounts regularly

    *Utilizes Canva and Photoshop to create design-focused promotional pieces

    *Creates authentic copy (social media, newsletter, etc.) with a voice and tone that uniquely reflects each individual client

    *Works with our communications team and clients to determine and identify objectives, goals, key performance indicators, strategies and tactics

    *Analyzes client audience, competitors, market and trends to define comprehensive digital strategies across channels. Identifies opportunities by collecting and analyzing data through market research, web analytics and other primary and secondary research sources.

    *Creates clear, concise and compelling content for client activity reports and other deliverables as necessary and participates in the development of new business proposals to existing and new clients

    *Demonstrates experience with digital and social media marketing platforms such as MailChimp and Iconosquare

    *Demonstrates experience developing paid media campaigns, including Facebook and Instagram

    *Works with communications team to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with appropriate digital influencers

    *Works with communications team to execute influencer campaigns: conceptualization, industry research, internal vetting, outreach, project management, and reporting

    *Ability to work independently, but also available to communicate regularly with lifestyle and culinary teams

    QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION:

    *Bachelor's Degree preferably in Communications, English, Public Relations or Marketing

    *Must have 1-2 years of relevant experience beyond internships developing and presenting custom digital solutions within a digital marketing, PR, and/or advertising agency environment

    *Knowledge of the ever-evolving social media landscape including: influencers, platform identification and usage and timely knowledge of trends (you live and breathe this stuff)

    *Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Canva and cursory knowledge of Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop) and WordPress
