    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Logistics Specialist to oversee and manage the efficient flow of medical supplies and equipment within our healthcare facility and event sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating procurement, inventory management, distribution, and disposal of medical materials. The Medical Logistics Specialist will work closely with various departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of supplies, maintain adequate stock levels, and implement effective logistics strategies to optimize operational efficiency.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement comprehensive logistics plans and strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement, storage, distribution, and disposal of medical supplies and equipment.

    • Collaborate with the finance department to identify and select reliable suppliers/vendors, negotiate contracts, and maintain positive relationships.

    • Monitor inventory levels of medical supplies and equipment, and conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and minimize stock-outs or overstock situations.

    • Coordinate and oversee the receipt, inspection, and storage of incoming medical shipments, ensuring proper handling and adherence to quality control standards.

    • Manage and maintain accurate records and documentation related to inventory, procurement, distribution, and disposal activities.

    • Work closely with healthcare staff to understand their supply needs, provide support and guidance in selecting appropriate products, and ensure timely delivery. In the field and in the office.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including medical staff, clinicians, administrators, and finance, to forecast demand, plan for contingencies, and optimize supply chain efficiency.

    • Continuously monitor and evaluate logistics operations to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements.

    • Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and advancements in medical logistics practices, and make recommendations for incorporating best practices.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field (equivalent experience may be considered).

    • 3+ years of Proven experience working in logistics or supply chain management, preferably in a healthcare or medical setting.

    • Solid knowledge of logistics principles, practices, and regulations.

    • Familiarity with medical supplies and equipment, including an understanding of medical terminology.

    • Proficient in using inventory management systems and software.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.

    • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various employees.

    • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in record-keeping and documentation.

    • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work well in a fast-paced environment.

    • Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations related to medical logistics is preferred.


    Physical Demands/Working Environment:

    • Standing or sitting for long periods of time may be necessary.

    • Some lifting (up to 40 pounds) may be necessary.

    • Driving or sitting up to 50% of the time is required.
