Position Summary:
Part-Time Spanish Speaking Nurse Practitioner (NP) to practice primary care and Occupational Health in vaccination sites and other healthcare events. The qualified candidate must have a strong Primary Care/Family Medicine background and must be experienced to work as a solo practitioner, and working in a team environment. This a great opportunity to grow with a fast-growing practice.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Act as Clinical Medical Lead; Provide guidance and education on COVID testing, vaccines, and treatments (Test2Treat) according to CDC guidelines and standards of care to patients and staff
Administer vaccines and provide emergency treatment as necessary for anaphylaxis reaction to vaccines
Performs efficiently in emergency situations following established protocols, remaining calm, informing appropriate persons, and documenting events.
Chart all patient transactions and end-of-the-day report in accordance with company policies and procedures
Communicate and work with medical staff to ensure coordinated efforts for the provision of high-quality client experience and medical treatment.
Evaluates the effectiveness of care given by team members
Act as Clinical Medical Lead; Provide guidance and education on COVID testing, vaccines, and treatments according to CDC guidelines and standards of care to patients and staff
Comply with regulations, and company policies regarding ethical, legal, and professional issues
Participate in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations
Conducts age-appropriate assessments of patients, including history taking and physical examination consistent with protocols for pop-up health clinics
Consults with supervising physician or other clinicians as dictated by patient need and assessment finding
Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
Assist clinical staff in understanding and complying with policies and procedures.
Establishes and maintains communication with other health care providers and departments to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness in order to promote consistency and continuity of care
Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with members of the health care team, community partners, clients, patients, and families
Demonstrates knowledge of and applies safety principles as identified by the company.
Work other tasks as assigned by site lead, supervisor, Medical Director, and CEO
Qualifications:
Nurse Practitioner (NP) New NP Graduates must possess an active California registered nurse (RN) license and certification from national organizations for California board standards.
Must remain compliant with state licensing credentialing requirements
Must have an NPI number and meet Medicare requirements for Provider Transaction Account Number (PTAN)
Clinical provider experience (2+ desired), especially in urgent/acute care, ER med, primary care, and/or COVID-19 setting
Pediatric experience; experience with the under-served population a plus
Experience maneuvering EMR (electronic medical record)
Comfort/experience with COVID-19 testing, vaccinations, current CDC guidelines, and standards of care, Test-to-treat prescribing
American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CPR), American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and -Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification (PALS) highly desirable
Flexible, responsible, professional, tech savvy, diligent, courteous, compassionate, self-starter
Bilingual in English and Spanish desired (Tagalog, other languages also great)

Compensation: $80.00
