    Job Description

    The Endowed Chair will be a complementary position with the newly established Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner track, which started in August 2023. The successful candidate will be officing in the Academic Building of the Louise Herrington School of Nursing at 333 N. Washington Ave., Dallas, Texas.

    Additional Information:

    Baylor University only hires Christian faculty members—salary is to be determined by experience and funding sources. The candidate is expected to teach. The candidate is expected to meet the standards for a tenured appointment or a clinical track appointment without a tenure line.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    The qualified candidate must be a nationally recognized nurse with either a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), or a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree with a well-established research and/or scholarship program in the broad category of mental health, have a strong record of significant extramural funding and publications and show commitment to education and mentorship. The qualified candidate must have strong leadership and mentorship experience committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and teaching excellence.

    The candidate is also expected to work collaboratively with researchers at LHSON and other researchers in various schools/colleges of Baylor University, such as Social Work, Education, Psychology, Health and Human Sciences.
