    OVERVIEW

    The Regional Campus Student Support Coordinator assists the Academic Director (AD) in implementing the face-to-face (FX) academic program at a Regional Campus. This includes all areas that increase student retention such as encouraging academic success and ensuring financial aid requirements are met. 

    QUALIFICATIONS

    1. Christian Faith – Firm Christian faith and acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Agreement with SEU's “What We Believe” statement, and a willingness to support SEU's traditional heritage to include enforcing the values explained in the student handbook.
    2. Alignment with Church Leadership - Alignment with Bayside's core values & beliefs, regular attendance and participation in the life of Bayside Community Church.
    3. Education - An earned Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution. Preferred degrees are in ministry, Bible, theology, or business.
    4. Leadership – Strong leadership, interpersonal communication, and organizational skills are required. Must be highly self-motivated, have the ability to work independently with infrequent direct supervision, and have a high tolerance for ambiguity and changing schedules.
    5. Collaboration – Ability to build strong relationships with students and faculty from diverse backgrounds and perspectives.

    RESPONSIBILITIES - 

    1. Student Academic Success: Provide academic counseling for students with an early alert, individual and group tutoring, and study groups for courses as needed. Refer students to SmartThinking, counseling, and main campus resources if applicable. Assist adjuncts in implementing ADA (American Disabilities Act) mandated accommodations. Oversee tutors and manage Motivation Mondays. Hold various workshops on topics such as Turabian formatting as needed.
    2. Financial Aid: Assist all students through the financial aid process including FAFSA, EASE, and student loan requirements. Continue working with students and SFS until all financial aid requirements are met and students are Financially Clear. Work with students throughout the semester to meet any outstanding balances.
    3. Compliance and Accountability: Assist the AD in maintaining compliance with SACSCOC, FERPA, Title IX, and applicable state authorities. Ensure FERPA regulations are met before non-student conversations and join AD in communicating Title IX regulations. 
    4. Liaison: Attend staff and other meetings as requested by the campus director.
    5. Academic Integrity: Remain watchful and report to AD student misconduct and breaches in academic integrity.

    WORK HOURS - 

    • Mondays 1 pm - 5 pm - Motivation Monday 
    • Tuesdays 8 am - 7:30 pm 
    • Wednesday 10 am - 5 pm 
    • Thursday 9 am - 6 pm 
    • Friday - 9 am - 5 pm

    *Also includes other events such as staff outings, Global Promo Sundays, Preview Days, Orientation, and trips.
