  • Responsibilities

    The Administrative Assistant will report directly to and support the Program Director of Prosthodontics and will be responsible to provide administrative support to the Clinical Director of Operative and Digital Dentistry. The Administrative Assistant will assist with calendar management and scheduling of meetings, recording minutes at various meetings; ordering supplies, paying and reconciling invoices; making travel arrangements, drafting and proof reading of correspondence, assisting with the management of the patient treatment centers, and managing the teaching activities of the Prosthodontic and Digital/Operative Programs. The individual must exercise initiative, independent judgment and discretion in arranging meetings, maintaining appointment schedule and disposing of requests for information.

    Required Skills

    • 3-5 Years of experience requires Bachelors Degree.
    • Must have previous experience working in a customer service environment preferably with heavy customer/patient interaction; prior experience in healthcare-private practice office, hospital, clinic or dental practice preferred
    • Must have the ability to be flexible and adapt to changes in the work environment including delays and unexpected events.
    • Must demonstrate excellent communication skills both written and spoken.
    • Intermediate computer skills that include Excel, Word and PowerPoint and databases.
    • Demonstrated ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and manage competing demands.
    • Ability to identify problems/issues, critically thinking through problems (gather and analyze information skillfully) and presenting potential solutions in a timely manner.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality, remain open to others' ideas with willingness to try new things.
    • Must be able to successfully collaborate and work in a team environment while also being an individual contributor.
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills demonstrating the ability of accuracy and thoroughness; monitor own work to ensure quality; ability to multi-tasking with the ability to work under pressure, maintain composure and meet deadlines.

        • TDAP (tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis i.e. whooping cough) within last ten years
        • Influenza vaccine or signed declination
        • IGRA Tuberculosis blood test.
      • Positive TST with Chest Xray and treatment information
    • MEDICAL CLEARANCE PROCESS: Medical Clearance Process: includes Occupational Health evaluation and immunization/titer level review. Must be eligible to receive required vaccinations as needed

    • REFERENCES: We require 2-3 professional references (no friends or family) with at least 1 previous supervisor.
