    This position is responsible for design, development, application and testing of mechatronic products for commercial vehicle air disc brake systems.


    • Support or lead the development and application of product concepts and requirements documentation.
    • Lead the create of product and design specifications
    • Lead the engineering product development cycle through design coordination, test plan creation, prototypes, FMEAs and PPAPs.
    • Support the program management function by coordinating engineering activities to meet program timing.
    • Support current production by interfacing with manufacturing and quality functions and leading engineering changes.
    • Manage and organize test plans and resources for component and complete system validation and track through standard DVP&R
    • Periodically present DVP&R, test results and system validation methods to OEM customers in a concise and professional manner
    • Engineering data collection and analysis from laboratory and vehicle testing according to standardized test plans
    • Travel as needed to support vehicle testing or customer testing or demos.
    • Represent Bendix’s interests in professional groups such as SAE
    • Support field troubleshooting calls regarding electronics systems


    • Broad automotive and electronic systems knowledge, preferably related to commercial vehicles.
    • Familiar with CAN communication protocol and using CAN analysis tools, such as CANalyzer or CANape
    • Able to lead customer interactions and perform technical presentations
    • Demonstrated problem-solving skills in a team environment
    • Participation in the FMEA and DVP&R process
    • Detail oriented and driven to complete assigned tasks on time
    • Able to create technical requirements, specifications, and test plans
    • Knowledge of air brake systems preferred
    • Total Quality and Product Safety skills including familiarity with ISO-9001, Six Sigma and Functional Safety ISO26262
    • Familiarity with relevant industry organizations such as SAE, SME, IEEE
    • Ability to work in a cross-functional team in a dynamic working environment including international team members


    • 6+ years of automotive industry or commercial vehicle industry preferred
    • Prior automotive or commercial vehicle industry experience


    • Ideal candidate is able to lead a team of people to achieve project milestones or implement customer requirements.
    • Able to handle multiple conflicting priorities and interface with sales, marketing, and engineering
    • Ability to work in a cross-functional team in a dynamic working environment including international team members
    • Self-starter/self-motivating
    • Strong problem-solving skills
    • Solid analytical skills
    • Good organizational and project management skills


    • B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering is required
    • M.S. in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering is preferred
