  • Responsibilities

    The Director of Individual Giving and Operations for School of Public Health is a key member of the Development team working to support the overarching fundraising and engagement strategy established with the Assistant Dean of Development and the Dean in advancement of BUSPH's mission to improve the health of local, national and international populations, particularly the disadvantaged, underserved and vulnerable, through excellence and innovation in education, research and service. The person in this position is instrumental in:

     

    • Identifying and cultivating Annual Fund pipeline to increase participation, engagement and unrestricted revenue
    • Managing Alumni and friends communication platforms and developing innovative and creative outreach and event strategies to broaden SPH's philanthropic base of support
    • Leading friend-raising and fundraising events (Gala, Giving day) in partnership with internal and external partners to increase participation and funds raised
    • Overseeing database coordinator/manager position to effectively inform campaigns.

     

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • 5+ years in event management and alumni engagement
    • Bachelor's degree requires
    • Outstanding project management skills
    • Solid understanding of Salesforce, Imodules, Blackbaud, Airtable, Campaign Monitor, Wordpress
    • Working knowledge of event and engagement databases
    • Working knowledge and expertise within social media platforms including of Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Snapchat, and Hootsuite.

    Required Skills Required Experience

  • Qualifications
    • Strong knowledge of and experience with lean material flow strategies.
    • Strong knowledge of material flow methodologies including sequencing, kitting, repack, etc.
    • Understanding of lean manufacturing concepts with the ability to lead kaizen efforts for continuous improvement.
    • Strong analytical and organizational skills. Ability to manage several complex projects at the same time with high degrees of variation and uncertainty.
    • Excellent verbal, written, presentation skills with interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively as a team member, and to plan/coordinate processes for results across all organizational levels.
    • Knowledge of AutoCAD 2D a plus.
    • Knowledge of SAP a plus.
    • Excellent analytical skills.
    • Solid problem solving and decision making skills.
    • Ability to think critically to provide effective root cause analysis, including actions to drive resolution.
    • Solid track record to achieve desired results. Proven performance.
    • Bias for action.
    • Excellent internal/external customer focus.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to work well with people from different departments across a matrix/cross functional organization with minimal supervision.
