The Research Project Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple large scale studies funded by the National Institutes of Health. Studies primarily focus on substance use disorder and include observational cohort studies, randomized controlled trials, and implementation studies (e.g. a large national study on opioid use disorder in general hospitals). These study teams are based in the Department of Community Health Sciences at the Boston University School of Public Health and Boston Medical Center. Study participants will be enrolled primarily from Boston Medical Center (BMC).
The Research Project Manager will oversee study implementation and management of projects, and directly supervise research staff. They will lead weekly team meetings, represent the study to internal and external collaborators, and be responsible for regular reporting (NIH, IRB, Department of Corrections, etc.). The incumbent will have the opportunity to work closely with leaders in the field of substance use disorder research and treatment, while developing and implementing project management plans and coordinating and leading all aspects of activities and operations critical to the success of the studies.
The ideal candidate will have a desire to work with an urban hospital patient population and a strong interest in issues surrounding alcohol and other drug use, and HIV. Experience with large multi site trials preferred. The candidate will have the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, utilize time and resources efficiently, and establish priorities to coordinate and complete competing assignments within established time frames.

A Bachelor degree in Engineering or related field is required;
Demonstrated strong problem solving skills are required.

SAP Experience is a plus.
