    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Industrial Maintenance Superintendent oversees the Maintenance function, Supervisors, and team members of the department. Their primary internal customers are the managers, supervisors and office personnel of the company along with repair and maintenance requests that are submitted. The goal of this position is to lead the team to repair and maintain the facilities and equipment to ensure production schedules produce a safe and quality product on time.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

    1. Serves as the leader for Preventative Maintenance pillar of the facility.
    2. Provides leadership to the plant maintenance department and activities.
    3. Provides technical expertise, program management, and guidance as applicable for floor plan layouts, building structure expansions, and renovation programs.
    4. Achieves plant cost reduction targets.
    5. Improves MTBF (Mean time between failures) and MTTR (Mean time to repairs) metrics and reduces frequency of equipment breakdowns.
    6. Understands and adhere to current health, safety, and environmental policies (ISO14001). Is empowered to identify, stop, and communicate or escalate appropriate action in regards to safety, health, and environmental concerns.
    7. Understands current quality policies and procedures (IATF 16949). Is empowered to identify, stop, and communicate or escalate appropriate action in regards to product quality.
    8. Ensure required records, permits, and reports are maintained and prepared according to established guidelines by local, state, and federal agencies.
    9. Perform additional duties as assigned.

    Required Skills

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    A Bachelor degree in Engineering or related field is required;

    Demonstrated strong problem solving skills are required.

    Strong written & verbal communication skills are required.

    Must be able to effectively multi-task assignments;

    Must be passionate for the protection of workers, property, and the environment.

    Possess strong shop floor presence, and able to communicate with various layers of the organization.

    Ability to lead, motivate and positively influence others.

    Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

    SAP Experience is a plus.

    Required Experience

    At least 5 years of manufacturing leadership experience leading a team of at least 10 maintenance technicians is required.

    At least 7 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment as an Engineering or Maintenance professional is required.
