    Job Description

    LOCATION: Work from Home; Site-Visits to San Diego/Mission Valley Properties. (Work computer with webcam will be provided for your home office.)

     

    EDUCATION: High School diploma required; Associates or Bachelors degree preferred

     

    EXPERIENCE: Not required; Customer Service experience preferred; Knowledge or experience in HOA/Common Interest Developments is a plus; Finance related experience is a plus.

     

    TYPE: Full-time

     

    WAGES/SALARY: $18.00 - $20.00/per hour depending on years of experience

    JOB DUTIES:

     

    Customer Service

    ·         Answering phone calls as back-up to Receptionist, taking messages for Community Managers and advancing urgent calls

    ·         Answering basic accounting phone calls and emails such as balance requests, statement requests, online payment setup assistance

    ·         Update Owner information and support on mailings/blast communications

    HOA/CID Accounting

    ·         Accounts Payable: confirm ACH payments, set up vendors, audit vendor insurance and licenses

    ·         Accounts Receivable: process exception items such as checks missing Account #s, returned payments, and other payments missed by the automatic systems

    ·         Financial Statements: create financial packets after prepared by Accounting Manager, assist with reconciliation, minor analysis at direction of Accounting Manager

    Projects and other Duties

    ·         Assist Community Manager with administrative tasks for San Diego properties. This includes violation letters, answering basic customer/vendor emails, invoice processing, draft bid comparisons, creating/processing work orders

    ·         Special projects at direction of Accountant/Project/Community Managers, typically in database (Village Management Software or Excel)

    ·         Occasionally assist Community Manager with site visits to various properties throughout San Diego County, primarily in Mission Valley.

     

    SKILLS:

    ·         Strong written and verbal communication skills

    ·         Proficient in Microsoft Suite, strong Excel skills a plus

    ·         Able to do self-error-checking

    ·         Extremely comfortable with using multiple computer programs/websites

    ·         Willingness to learn new tasks and tackle new projects/duties as needed

     

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    ·         Sit at a desk for extended periods

    ·         Look at a computer screen for extended periods

    Lift no more than 25 pounds (banker boxes with paperwork)
