This is truly an amazing opportunity for anyone who absolutely loves the travel and tourism industry! As a Travel Booking Agent you will be responsible for creating amazing packages for clients whether leisure or corporate travel needs. The Travel Booking Agent handles the research and planning process for clients travel needs. Whether clients are looking to travel domestic or international as the Travel Booking Agent you are able to accommodate!
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Research and prepare at minimum three quotes for clients based upon their needs
- Complete certification training within first 7-days of being an agent
- Attend ongoing trainings, webinars, and seminars
- Prepare itineraries for trips and packages
- Communicate with preferred vendors and suppliers to streamline the booking process
- Maintain appropriate documentation
- Book and sell various travel (including, but not limited to flights, hotels, car rentals, theme park tickets, event/concerts, cruises, and all inclusive resort packages
- Stay up to date on trends within the industry
- Respond to client request promptly (within 24hrs)
- Participate in FAM Trips to become familiar with destinations
- Have a passion for the tourism and hospitality industry
- Work with other team members in harmony
- Participate in discussions with mentors and other team members
- Complete additional trainings to specialize with particular vendors and suppliers
- Effectively manage your time
- Be an ambassador for the brand
- Be a life long learner
- Always be willing to help others, we are a team
- Maintain knowledge of various vendors and suppliers
- Complete at least one new training per week
- Create flyers, brochures, and additional marketing materials
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to effectively communicate with clients
- Must have a phone, laptop highly recommend - not required
- Must be fluent in English
- Must be at least 18 years of agent
- No prior experience required
- Must have a passion to become a leader within the industry
