SUMMARY Be Structured Technology Group, a Los Angeles based managed IT services (MSP) company, is looking for a new member for our Professional Services team. As a Project Engineer, you will directly interact with our valued clients on a variety of special projects outside the scope of managed services. This position is well suited for Sys Admin II and/or Network Admins with a background in server and storage management, virtualization, networking management and configuration, who are detail-oriented and possess a high-level of professionalism.

DUTIES & EXPECTATIONS • Work with Service Desk Manager and Project Manager on assigned tasks, deliverables • Follow established procedures, best practices • Manage priorities, deadlines, project scope • Log all work performed in detail in our ticketing system • Participate in creation/maintenance of processes for improved service delivery • Frequent communication with Managers on status of tickets/projects/tasks; early notification on potential issues/risks • Create documentation for system management and maintenance by Service Desk team

EXPECTATIONS & KPI’S • 33 billable hours/week • Meet or exceed customer SLA’s • Timely and professional client communication • Evening, weekend work when required • Travel to customer locations outside of downtown LA area when required • Internal and external documentation • Maintain high customer satisfaction through client feedback, surveys, etc…

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS TECHNICAL SKILLS • Design, Implement, Deploy, Manage: o LAN/WAN technologies (Cisco, HP, Fortinet, SonicWall, Unifi routers, switches, firewalls, wireless, etc…) o On-prem server infrastructure and cloud-based solutions o Backup solutions for both physical and virtual environments o Virtualization environments o Windows and Mac computing environments • Windows Desktop Operating Systems 7 to 10 • Microsoft Server OS, AD, RDS, DNS, DHCP, etc… • Office 365 and/or Google Apps • Intermediate to Advanced Networking Concepts – TCP/IP, Ethernet, LAN/WAN/WLAN, VoIP, RADIUS, LDAP, etc.

CRITICAL SOFT SKILLS • Excellent ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal forms • Team player with desire for cooperative work environment, no ‘lone wolf’ types • Cool and calm under pressure • Able to manage, prioritize multiple tasks • Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills

EXPERIENCES AND PLUSES • At least 5 years real-world experience • Previous MSP experience, working with RMM tools and related functions a plus • Azure, AWS experience a big plus • Powershell, other scripting a plus • Experience with Microsoft SQL 2000 – 2016 a plus • Familiarity with Mac OS X Server/Workstation Support a plus • Basic Understanding of Linux/Unix Server Support a plus • Familiarity with G-Suite a plus • Understanding of licensing issues (particularly MS Server licensing) a plus

REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS • College degree or equivalent experience • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, MCSA 2012/2016, MCSE 2012/2016, MCITP: Server Admin, MCITP: Enterprise Admin, Cisco, A+, Sonicwall, or others beneficial

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS • Fluent in English; other languages a big plus • Valid driver’s license, good driving record, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance • Pass background check

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS • Ability to maintain a high level of visual attention and mental concentration for significant periods of time as required by preparing and analyzing data, test results, computer hardware and software, etc. • Ability to manipulate necessary office equipment, computer software, hardware and equipment. • Ability to perform the following physical activities, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, feeling, talking and hearing. • Requires working in both internal and external environments subject to variation in temperature. • Physical requirements of exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 lbs. of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. • Frequent communications, occasionally for extended periods, by telephone. • Activities before and after regular business hours may be required. • Reasonable accommodations are provided as required by state and federal disability laws.
