    Job Summary:

    Mobile Operations supports the organization's mission, vision, and values by exhibiting the following behaviors: excellence and competence, collaboration, innovation, respect personalization, commitment to our community, and accountability and ownership. Under the direct supervision of the Mobile Response Manager, this position provides strategic outreach and community engagement within the contract city.

    What You´ll Do:

    1. Community Outreach / Networking & Engagement:

    Collaborate with School Resource Officers, Faith-based Organizations, Community-Based Organizations, and Public and Private Businesses.

    Establish and maintain partnerships with community organizations, healthcare providers, schools, and other stakeholders to expand the organization's reach and impact.

    Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage with target populations, including individuals with mental health needs, caregivers, and community organizations.

    Organize and facilitate community events, workshops, and presentations on mental health topics to raise awareness and provide education.

    Represent the organization at community events, conferences, and public forums to promote mental health initiatives.

    Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and competence in outreach efforts to engage diverse populations effectively.

    Adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards while engaging with individuals and community partners.

    1. Program Promotion / Training:

    Support the development of marketing materials and strategies to promote mental health programs and services offered by Be Well OC Mobile Operations.

    Conduct training sessions and workshops for community members, organizations, and professionals on mental health-related topics.

    Collaborate with the social media team to engage with the community and disseminate mental health information.

    1. Mobile Response Support / Crisis Intervention:

    Offer information and referral services to individuals seeking mental health support, connecting them with appropriate resources and services.

    1. Assessment and Evaluation:

    Evaluate the effectiveness of outreach efforts and make data-driven recommendations for program improvement.

    Collect data and maintain outreach activities, program outcomes, and community partnerships records.

    Stay informed about current trends, research, and best practices in mental health outreach and related fields, attending training and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.

    Other duties as assigned.

    What You´ll Need:

    Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, public health, community outreach, or a related field, (preferred), or equivalent experience.

    Experience working in mental health outreach, community engagement, or related areas, preferably within a non-profit organization or healthcare setting.

    Knowledge of mental health issues and resources available for individuals with mental health needs.

    Demonstrated experience organizing and facilitating community events, workshops, or educational programs.

    Familiarity with community resources, social service agencies, and healthcare systems relevant to mental health support.

    Cultural competence and sensitivity in working with diverse communities and understanding their unique mental health needs.

    Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively manage multiple outreach initiatives.

    Familiarity with crisis intervention and resources for individuals in mental health crises.

    Experience in public speaking, delivering presentations, and engaging with the public to raise awareness on mental health topics.

    Bi-lingual Spanish (preferred)

    CPR for healthcare professionals certified or able to ascertain certification.

    Valid CA Driver’s License with a clean driving record

    Due to our contractual obligation with the Police Department and the nature of this position, you must pass the department’s extensive background check. This includes a lengthy in-person meeting, polygraph examination, and review of the candidate’s criminal report, personal history, employment, education, and discipline.

    Ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.

    Effective written and verbal communication.

    Good computer/technology skills.

    Maintain focus and composure when around bodily fluids.
