Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Analyst to support the CDC's evaluation of the Federal government's COVID-19 vaccination efforts.  The Data Analyst will be on a team supporting the programs and projects within the Immunization Services Division of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases. 

Initial work location is remote, due to COVID-19 work restrictions on the CDC campus. Once COVID-19 restrictions are lifted, this role will report and transition to the Roybal Campus located in Atlanta, Georgia.  This role is 100% at the customer’s location.

Job Tasks include but are not limited to:

• Supports program evaluation planning, data analysis and presentation of results for COVID19 related vaccination efforts.
• Supports deep dives on data quality issues.
• Identifies methods for more comprehensive data visibility for underserved populations – specifically tribes served through IHS and non-IHS affiliated clinic sites.
• Research may include formative, process, and impact evaluation and qualitative and quantitative methods.
• Performs data analysis, ensuring statistical accuracy in planning data collection procedures.
• Conducts analytical investigations using scientific methodology and problem solving.
• Chooses the approach to solve problems.
• Recognizes subtle distinctions in statistical results that require deviation from conventional rules and selects and adapts techniques if necessary. 
• Performs and monitors the full range of specialized tests and non-routine procedures for which there are standard methods and techniques. 
•  Prepares reports on studies and projects or applies knowledge of the technical rules and procedures applying to scientific projects and programs to maintain documentation and prepare analyses and reports of findings for tests and studies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years analyzing Public Health data
• Experience with Tableau and or PowerBI
• Experience in SAS or R
• Excellent data communication and visualization skills
• Strong background performing data analysis including statistical methods
• Experience validating, cleaning, and analyzing data from multiple sources
• The ability to provide technical assistance to internal and external team members and stakeholders
• Previous experience analyzing large complex dataset independently
