    Job Description

    100% REMOTE OPPORTUNITY

    WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN INTERN TO DEDICATE 5-10 HOURS WEEKLY TO SUPPORT OUR PUBLIC HEALTH TEAM AND FOCUS ON PROMOTING HEALTH AND WELLNESS WHILE YOU INCREASE YOUR PUBLIC HEALTH KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS.

    Primary responsibilities include:

    • Completing literature research and public health reviews to identify health equality materials and training activities,
    • Supporting two public health practitioners,
    • Working to support research grants and development, and
    • Attending some public health team meetings.

    Functions OR examples of projects for this role:

    • Organizing training and conference materials such as presentation content, tables, graphs, and figures, etc.
    • Completing comprehensive public health literature searches to obtain and gather materials.
    • Review of literature toward the development of research proposals, study protocols, and/or grants and training materials.
    • Development and organization of research information and materials.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Can be enrolled full-time or part-time at an accredited college or university during internship. 
    • Pursuing a graduate degree in health service research, public health, economics, epidemiology, biostatistics, or a related field.
    • Hold an undergraduate health management, administration or public health degree, or a related field.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Authorization to work in the U.S. without future visa sponsorship requirements.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office software products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
    • Knowledgeable with basic statistical analysis and statistical software such as (SAS).
    • Familiarity with searchable research publication resources (e.g., PubMed, EBSCOhost, Google Scholar, & OVID).
