Job Description

The base salary for this position is $18.20 hourly.

This position creates, through their friendly attitude and unobtrusive performance, a feeling of
“pampering”. The Beach Ambassador’s comprehensive scope of work creates a sense of ownership and creates a personal connection for the guests enjoying the beach area.

• Set up and maintain beach area, including lounge chairs, halau/cabanas, and clamshells. Ensure cleanliness and proper arrangement of all beach equipment and amenities.
• Greet guests, assist with seating preferences, and provide information about facilities and services.
• Offer and deliver pampering amenities to guests throughout the day, anticipating their needs and responding promptly to requests.
• Take and process food and beverage orders accurately, using the point of sale system. Serve orders and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Handle payments and settle guest checks, including cash, credit, or room charges.
• Maintain cleanliness of the beach area, including collecting used towels, sanitizing tables, and organizing beach stations.
• Assist with beach equipment rentals and promote hotel dining options.
• Lift and carry up to 50lbs, including chairs, tables, and umbrellas. Be comfortable working in outdoor weather conditions for extended periods.
• Follow department and hotel safety rules, maintaining a clean and obstruction-free work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Education:

• Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skill and ability.
• High School graduates preferred.

Experience:

• One year of public contact experience.

Other:

• Ability to obtain tuberculosis clearance.
• CPR Certification and/or First Aid training preferred.
