    Job Description

    FINANCE COORDINATOR

    Beacon Academy is currently seeking a part-time Finance Coordinator. Reporting to the Director of Operations, and working with an outsourced bookkeeping organization, eCratchit, the Finance Coordinator is responsible for the day to day financial processes within the organization, including recording and tracking revenue and expenses, processing invoices and running financial reports.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    REVENUE RECORDING AND REPORTING

    • Make weekly deposits.
    • Review gift allocation with the Development Team to ensure accuracy.
    • Record revenue and pledges in Salesforce with guidance from the Development and Admission Teams.
    • Run revenue reports for the Development Team.
    • Generate gift acknowledgment letters in Salesforce for the Development Team.
    • Generate pledge reminder reports for the Development Team.

    REVENUE AND EXPENSE RECONCILIATION

    • Process all invoices and other Accounts Payable and follow up with vendors, partners, and staff as needed.
    • Manage the reconciling process of American Express expenses.
    • Reconcile revenue monthly with the Finance Department.
    • Generate reports for the Development Team.
    • Provide weekly income coding reports to the Finance Department.
    • Run reports and schedules for the annual audit.

    DATABASE MANAGEMENT

    • Manage, update and maintain Salesforce database information in partnership with the Development & Finance teams.
    • Create reports and campaigns in Salesforce as directed.

    SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree required.
    • Mastery of Microsoft Office applications.
    • Excellent English language and math skills.
    • Familiarity with finance principles and practices.
    • Experience with Salesforce and Quickbooks.
    • Meticulous attention to detail.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to embrace and share the Academy's mission.
