Beacon Craft Inc. is a craft and product development vendor that works with worldwide major retailers to supply market competitive product assortments to our clients. We're looking for talented creatives to join our design team in Fort Worth, TX.

As a member of the Beacon Craft design team, you will work with the design team to interpret and apply art from internal design directions and client trends and style guides for cross category development (Kids DIY crafts, Kids Activities, Jewelry, Papercrafting, Apparel, General Crafts, Impulse).

General Accountabilities

create fun and exciting product lines with fellow designers & design director

layout product piece type templates for clients

takes direction from Project Leads and Management Team

works with other designers, product development team and clients as needed to execute the job on time.

produce and mock-up product flats for client

provide clean and organized files based on beacon Craft established templates and processes.

produces design elements that are brand and trend right assigned to them by Team Lead per project, on time.

Illustration

visit client retail locations to photograph programs

comp shop retail trips to observe and report relevant market trends

online market research

identify new market opportunities

Work within Beacon Craft internal and client brand guidelines to design products for clients by assigned deadlines

follow Client Style Guides

product design production

create & update PowerPoint slides for client presentation

build inspiration guides to support new category and trend development

assist in building style guides & inspiration guides to support new concept development.

domestic travel (tradeshows)

assist/ teach junior product designers

Job Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or related work experience

3+ years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

a keen eye for good design

creative and technical know how

attention to detail

excellent communication and interpersonal skills

strong Organizational Skills

high level experience in Adobe CS including Illustrator, PhotoShop, InDesign

excellent time management skills

able to create product concepts and designs independently
