    Job Description

    Beacon Resources, in partnership with our client based in Downtown Los Angeles, is seeking an experienced PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR to join their team. This will be an interim position with the possibility to become perm!

    JOB – The hired PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR will be responsible for domestic payroll processing as well as daily interactions with employees, answering payroll questions, updating employee records, auditing new hires in ADP, calculating and processing payroll data, and reporting the taxes.

    COMPENSATION/BENEFITS – Pay Rate starts at $32/hour and increases depending on qualifications. If hired as a permanent employee, benefits include: Dental, Vision, Health, Quarterly Bonus Plans, and Profit Sharing.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Administering full cycle payroll for the USA on a semi-monthly and biweekly basis for 750+ employees
    • Processing payroll for multiple entities, different states, exempt and non-exempt employees, and out of sequence payroll runs
    • Auditing each payroll for accuracy, reconciles results for errors, and make corrections as appropriate
    • Registering with State agencies for new tax such as SUI/SDI and local tax jurisdictions
    • Filing payroll tax reports as necessary for assigned jurisdictions
    • Coordinating with Benefits Specialist to manage employee leave of absences and leave pay
    • Coordinating day to day operations of employee pay for assigned jurisdictions
    • Managing termination package as assigned by Supervisor
    • Managing employee time off records, accruals, and understand jurisdictions legislative requirements for paid time off
    • Managing the payroll inbox and replying to emails in a timely manner

    REQUIREMENTS

    • 5 or more years of experience in payroll operations with multiple states
    • Bachelor’s degree, HR/Finance/Accounting PREFERRED
    • FPC Certification PREFERRED
    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work in a dynamic business environment
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
    • Advanced Microsoft Office: Excel
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Strong attention to detail and process improvement skills
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Team player with a strong customer focus and ability to interact at all levels of the organization
    • Working knowledge of HRIS and payroll systems required, ADP Workforce Now is PREFERRED
