    Beatclub is the premier platform for artists, producers, and songwriters to buy, license or sell beats, acapellas, demos, samples, and loops. Founded by Timbaland, Beatclub is a global marketplace that connects the music creator community with record labels, music publishers, film & tv, brands, content creators, and independent artists. 

    The STAFF ACCOUNTANT will be the first internal accountant position for the company and will play a key role as we establish and scale our accounting and financial processes. This is a hybrid role, with a few days in the West Hollywood office per week.

    The Staff Accountant will be responsible for all daily accounting tasks, ensuring that the accounts payable, accounts receivable and the company's financial obligations are met efficiently. This role will keep track of the company's receipts and expenditures, maintain QuickBooks, perform general ledger and bank reconciliations, complete all tax-related processes, and provide reports as and when requested by supervisors. Ultimately, the Staff Accountant will ensure the company's financial operation runs smoothly.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Complete AP and AR processes in a timely manner
    • Process payroll for domestic and international employees
    • Monitor and manage all incoming financial and compliance-related correspondence
    • Perform  balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial reporting
    • Prepare reports on financial performance tailored to the needs of leadership, including financial statements in accordance with GAAP
    • Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
    • Manage all tax and related compliance matters
    • Work with executives to establish internal controls 
    • Develop and adhere to accounting policies, processes, and internal controls around shared services, treasury, and general accounting functions
    • Other duties as assigned

    REQUIREMENTS

    • A bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related experience
    • 3+ years of progressive experience 
    • Strong working knowledge of US generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
    • Superior spreadsheet and financial modeling skills
    • Experience with Quickbooks Online (QBO) and prefer experience with Bill.com
    • Ability to collaborate, influence, and build relationships across all levels of the organization
    • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with strong intellectual curiosity
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving, early-stage environment
    • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
