Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Logistics Administrative Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide support to our office employees, ensuring they have all the information and resources they need to perform their best. Your main responsibilities will include answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, planning meetings, and writing correspondence. The ideal candidate is highly organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills and a friendly demeanor. This is a temporary position with the opportunity for promotion to full-time after 90 days
Responsibilities
Process and package small orders for dropshipping
Electronically file proof of delivery pages and bills of lading
Maintain regular communication with 3PL warehouse partners to help facilitate outgoing shipments.
Drive to pick up or deliver goods
Contribute to the upkeep of shipment records, ensuring all information is current and accurate
Utilize carrier websites to track shipments on a daily basis
Collaborate in processing orders using Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems
Assist in invoicing purchase orders
Support in gathering relevant data for weekly reporting
Qualifications
High school diploma/GED required
Local to office
Familiarity with standard office equipment such as printers and fax machines
Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Highly organized with excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize projects
