    Position: Attorney, Corporate/Real Estate
    Location: Detroit or Troy, Michigan (remote candidates considered based on qualifications)

    *Must be a graduate of an accredited law school.*

    General Purpose: Perform duties typical of a corporate and/or real estate attorney, including drafting legal documents and advising clients on transactions within these practice areas.

    Major Responsibilities (Corporate):

    • Drafting and negotiating business transaction agreements (e.g., buy-sell agreements, mergers and acquisition agreements, operating agreements).
    • Handling mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures; partnerships, LLCs, and joint ventures.
    • Preparing regulatory filings and governance documents.
    • Interpretation of laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
    • Tax knowledge is a plus.

    Major Responsibilities (Real Estate):

    • Drafting and negotiating real estate transaction documents (e.g., purchase agreements, commercial lease agreements).
    • Reviewing and resolving title and survey issues, conducting due diligence, and coordinating closings.
    • Interpretation of laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.

    Skills and Abilities:

    • Strong organizational and project management skills.
    • Excellent research and writing abilities.
    • Proficiency in using online legal research services and other available legal resources.
    • Effective communication skills (both oral and written).
    • Demonstrates sound and independent judgment.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Capable of managing client relationships and contributing to business development activities.

    Education, Experience, and/or Training:

    • Significant experience in complex Corporate and/or Real Estate matters.
    • Portable book of business preferred but not required.
    • Graduate of an accredited law school.
    • Admitted to a state bar in the United States, preferably Michigan.
