SUMMARY:
The Funder is responsible for the coordination of loan closings and the preparation of closing packages, including issuance of funds.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
This is a full-time position that requires regular, reliable and punctual attendance in our Irvine fulfillment center. . The ideal candidate will meet following requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Mortgage Lending with at least 1 year of wholesale mortgage funding.
- Have a comprehensive understanding of TRID Rules pertaining to disclosure and closing requirements
- Ability to communicate with Settlement Agents, Account Executives, and Brokers to coordinate closing of wholesale mortgage transaction
- Closely examine all information pertaining to fees, rates, property information, vesting, etc. in loan file to ensure accuracy prior to drawing documents.
- When all conditions are met and Settlement Agent is ready to fund, update conditions, interest, funding date, wire information, and impounds. Check fees for accuracy and request wire in system.
- Determine that all underwriting and closing conditions are satisfied prior to disbursement.
- Ensure all loans close and fund in adherence to all WestGen Lending Loan Services policies and procedures and are in compliance with all state and federal regulations.
- Represents the company in a professional and enthusiastic manner: by providing an exceptional level of customer service, supporting the mission statement, and adhering to our core values in all functions of their job responsibilities and interaction with internal and external customers
- Knowledge of MS Office, Doc Magic, Lending QB, Compliance Ease, Mavent and Encompass Preferred
- Ability to multi-task, accept, prioritize, and execute on tasks assigned by the VP of Operations.
- Supports the organization’s goals and values, gives and welcomes feedback and contributes to building a positive team spirit
- Displays good judgement and a willingness to make timely decisions; while exhibiting sound and accurate judgment. Supports and explains reasoning for decisions and includes appropriate staff in the decision-making process.
