Our growing, busy law firm is looking for an attorney to join our practice. The Firm handles Bankruptcy, Estate Planning, Probate, and Title 19. Preferred candidate has a minimum of 2 years experience in 1 or more areas, but we will consider a new grad who has passed the Bar. Responsibilities: Manage administrative assistants, paralegals, and law clerks Complete legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs Draft correspondence, legal pleadings, motions, and briefs Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings Identify client conflicts and determine case strategies with options for resolution Advise clients by weighing available options toward a successful outcome and plan a course of action Take responsibility for administrative staff relating to client invoicing/billing records, setting up meetings with clients and completing tasks Qualifications: Required Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school; representation of clients for at least 2 years a plus Strong knowledge of legal research programs such as Westlaw and Lexis products is required Communication, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, and public speaking skills required Ability to use Microsoft Office is required Work independently while handling a heavy caseload • Documented history of achieving personal and professional goals Compensation: $65,000 - $90,000 yearly
