Job Description

This person will be working directly with our union members explaining their benefits, answering question they may have about those benefits and providing enrollment paperwork. Our company is contracted with South Carolina's unions to assist union employees with their benefits they receive through their employers. This position requires customer service skills and the ability to be organized and meet deadlines. Our benefits coordinators play an important role in our company because they are the line of communication between unions and their employees. Benefits Coordinators will check in on our union employees periodically, and at different times of the year. This ensures that the employee is familiar with the representative and feels comfortable in knowing their benefits are being handled accurately and in a timely manner. Coordinators will be trained to know the contract inside and out so they can communicate effectively to the workers they represent. Qualifications • Ability to sell products and services effectively and meet goals. • Ability to build & maintain relationships with internal and external members. Must be able to multi-task & be detailed-oriented. • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral form. • Must possess the ability to use loan origination systems, contact management software and database use. • Requires general knowledge of computer network and other Microsoft Office applications. • Must possess strong interpersonal skills, good phone and e-mail etiquette, a professional presentation and a high degree of personal initiative.
