COMPANY DESCRIPTION:
Bedford Precision Parts (“Bedford” or the “Company”), located in Bedford Hills, NY, is the leading aftermarket supplier of replacement parts and accessories for most major brands of paint spraying equipment, with a strong reputation for high quality products, responsive customer service, and innovative technical expertise. The Company is actively in growth mode, particularly as it relates to new product development and R&D initiatives.
Bedford recently transitioned from family ownership to the private equity fund Zabel Companies. As part of its growth strategy, Bedford is also transitioning its Commercial approach to including developing an eCommerce website, as well as pivoting to digital marketing to support the growth of the online B2B business while also expanding support of the traditional sales channels. To successfully execute this strategy Bedford needs a strong and innovative leader for its expanding marketing department. The candidate will truly be “Marketing Employee #1” and will partner with the entire team as well as the CEO to develop marketing strategy and actions. In time it is expected that the Marketing Team will grow and round out as both online revenue and total company revenue scales. The Marketing Manager will report to the CEO of Bedford Precision Parts.
Ideally, the candidate will live and work in a radius near to Bedford Hills, NY (40 miles north of New York City), which also includes Norwalk, Stamford and Greenwich, CT, and Westchester County, NY. Relocation reimbursement will be available for a candidate from outside the Tri-State area.
JOB DUTIES:
- Working with CEO and Team, develops the Marketing Strategy for Bedford Precision.
- Develops Bedford Precision Brand promise.
- Builds and executes the Marketing strategy.
- Evaluates and decides weight of digital presence vs. traditional media.
- Develops Marketing Plan for Bedford Precision.
- Becomes responsible for Catalog production.
- Develops and directs the marketing mix:
- Social (including but not limited to IG, FB, YouTube, etc.)
- eMail
- Print
- Digital and e-commerce
- Affiliate Marketing
- Oversees construction of the company website(s) as follows:
- Works with/Directs developing web construction firm.
- Dealer Portal construction and strategy.
- Direct-to-Consumer construction and strategy.
- Data set construction.
- Attribute identification and construction.
- Manages and conducts content production.
- Video
- Photography
- Graphics
- Copy
- Develops customer database in terms of email addresses and phone/address info.
- Affiliate Marketing: Develops relationships with non-competing strategic partner manufacturers and possibly also with customers to amplify the reach of Bedford Precisions’ web presence.
- Manages the marketing budget and mix for the company.
- Analyzes the ROI, ROAS, of the various marketing spending buckets.
- Directs all spending, including digital such as paid media, Amazon.com, etc.
- Development of Marketing and Digital Dashboards, metrics and tracking
- Pricing: Gathers intel on industry pricing trends and provides input as part of the pricing process.
- Partners with Sales and Engineering functions to understand New Products and prepare New Product Launch programs.
- Develops medium/long term vision for staffing of the Marketing Department.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Highly analytical in nature and experience.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and execution of strategy.
- Demonstrated digital experience as follows:
- Website construction
- Database building and use
- Online
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as Marketing Manager.
- Social marketing
- Digital advertising (such as banner ads)
- SEO
- Adwords
- Affiliate Marketing
- Having worked with Amazon.com is a “plus”.
- Brand Management experience:
- Building Brand Strategy.
- Developing Brand “promise”.
- Bachelor of Business Administration, emphasis in Marketing preferred.
