    Job Description

    BEENE GARTER, West Michigan's largest independently-owned accounting firm, repeatedly known as one of "West Michigan's Best and Brightest Companies to Work For" is accepting resumes for SEASONAL TAX PREPARERS FOR WINTER 2021. In this temporary position, your primary duty will be the preparation of individual income tax returns from January through April 15. You may also have the opportunity to prepare Personal Property Tax returns, 1099's and basic business tax returns.

    HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL OFFER BEENE GARTER:

    • EDUCATION & CREDENTIALS: The ideal candidate will have three or more years of experience in a public accounting firm. CPA license is preferred but not required.
    • DRIVE: You'll enjoy the fast pace of processing a solid volume of returns with strict deadlines.
    • TECHNICAL ABILITY: Use your experience in Excel and ability to pick other software programs up quickly to get involved with other special projects.
    • CURIOSITY: You'll use your communication skills to ask relevant questions to help better understand complex returns.
    • ATTENTION TO DETAIL: You're eager to explore the nuances and details on hundreds of individual, and perhaps even some business, returns.
