About the Role:

Boston's Bridge To Excellence Inc. is looking for a passionate and energetic Before and After School Teacher to join our team in Boston, MA! This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment before and after the school day. Responsibilities:

Supervise and engage students in structured and recreational activities during before and after school program hours

Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities, games, and enrichment programs

Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment for all students

Assist students with homework and provide academic support as needed

Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and school staff regarding student progress and behavior

Monitor student attendance and follow proper check-in/check-out procedures

Enforce program rules and behavioral expectations in a consistent and supportive manner

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required; college coursework in Education, Child Development, or related field preferred

Prior experience working with school-age children in an educational or childcare setting

Strong classroom management and behavior intervention skills

CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Excellent communication, patience, and interpersonal skills

Ability to pass a background check and meet state childcare compliance requirements

Reliable, punctual, and enthusiastic team player with a passion for youth development
