We are seeking a full-time Behavior Intervention Specialist for a school-based assignment for Talbot County Public Schools to deliver behavioral instruction.

Job Summary
We are seeking a Behavioral Intervention Specialist to join our team! You will be responsible for supporting students with behavior challenges. The Interventionist provides individual or small group instruction to students who require IEP Behavioral support. This position is also responsible for monitoring, reporting, and communicating student progress and performance.
Responsibilities
Administers small group and/or one-to-one intensive behavior intervention to students
Provides assistance with de-escalating student behaviors
Collaborates with teachers, administration, and families to help identify best practices for adverse behavior needs
Uses identified research-based interventions focus specifically on individual student behavioral needs
Maintains data-based documentation of continuous monitoring of student performance and progress
Provides data to school teams and participates in decisions about student progress
Assists with identifying students for placement in intervention groups
Participates in meetings with teachers, administration, and families to discuss student placement and progress
Provides input for program development
Supports implementation of assessment tools and data management systems
Qualifications
Psychologist, Licensed Social Worker or Certified Teacher in Maryland with background in Behavior Intervention and Behavior Assessments (preferably with at least a Master's)
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) experience
Completion of Behavior Training
RBT Certification is preferred but not required
Ability to work with students in person
