    Behavior Intervention Specialist

    Job Description: Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports Specialist (PBIS) position within an organization serving adults with traumatic brain injury and other physical and/or neurological impairments.

    Provide participants with an outlet to express and process their feelings,

    Learn coping strategies, and increase positive reactions and/or responses to challenging situations.

    Comprehensive assessment of the individual’s behavior, skills and abilities

    Experience: Dependent on current Department of Health Qualifications as well as experience developing and implementing behavioral treatment plans.

    Education: Dependent on current Department of Health Qualifications

    Minimum requirement is a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology

    Participant's home and in the community (serving clients in Nassau and Suffolk counties)
