Duty Statement: Consult on all issues concerning clients’ behaviors at a third party behavioral day service site in San Jose, CA. Independently design, review, and revise clients’ behavior modification plans. Provide on-site supervision of third party’s paraprofessionals as they implement behavior modification plans. Carry out the directives of MCA’s Clinical Director(s).
Behavior Management Consultant Roles and Responsibilities:
Carry out the directives of MCA’s Clinical Director(s)
Assess client behaviors on-site at clients’ behavioral day service site
Independently design, review, and revise clients’ behavior modification plans
Provide direct supervision of behavior modification plans as implemented by paraprofessionals
Independently provide informal training or coaching of on-site paraprofessionals
Collaborate with clients’ Interdisciplinary Team as needed
Ensure ethical, high quality care of clients
Supervised By and Reports To: Clinical Director(s)
Salary Range: $73,000 - $83,000 per year

Required Availability: Varies according to needs of the company and clients. Generally 8:00 am-4:00 pm Monday through Friday. Check and respond to company-supplied email daily.
Minimum Qualifications:
Completed at least twelve semester units in applied behavior analysis
Possesses one or more of the following verifiable licenses or registrations:
Registered with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in good standing
Licensed as a Psychologist by California Board of Psychology
Licensed as a Clinical Social Worker by California Board of Behavioral Sciences
Licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist by California Board of Behavioral Sciences
Licensed as an Educational Psychologist by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences
Minimum of two years experience designing and implementing behavior plans, or equivalent as determined by hiring manager
Pass a Live Scan or other criminal history background check immediately upon hire
Physical Requirements:
Able to follow energetic clients for up to four continuous hours
Able to routinely lift or move up to 50 lbs
Additional Requirements:
Have consistent, reliable transportation to clients’ behavioral day service sites in San Jose, potentially in other areas of coverage in the San Francisco East Bay Area and Silicon Valley
Have consistent, reliable access to phone, email, and internet
Have proficiency in Google Workspace
Have excellent written and oral communication skills
