Gifted Potential is seeking a compassionate and skilled Behavior Support Consultant (BSC) to provide individualized behavioral health services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Spanish, experienced in behavioral assessment and intervention, and committed to improving the quality of life for those served through person-centered, trauma-informed care.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments, including Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs).

Develop, implement, and monitor Positive Behavior Support (PBS) plans using evidence-based approaches.

Apply Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles to encourage positive behavioral change.

Provide training and coaching to families, caregivers, and Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for consistent implementation.

Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with HIPAA, ODP, and organizational standards.

Analyze behavioral data to assess progress and adjust interventions as needed.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive and person-centered support.

Communicate effectively in English and Spanish to promote understanding and cultural responsiveness.

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or autism.

Completion of Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA) and Positive Behavioral Support (PBS) training* *(Exempt if candidate holds a PA Behavior Specialist License, BCBA, or BCaBA)

Strong knowledge of behavioral assessment, treatment planning, and data-driven intervention.

Educational & Licensure Pathways (must meet one): ✅ Master’s Degree Path: Master’s in Psychology, Special Education, Counseling, Social Work, Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, or Gerontology.

✅ License Path: Active PA Behavior Specialist License.

✅ Bachelor’s Degree Path: Bachelor’s degree in a related field with supervision by a qualified professional (proof required).

Preferred Skills & Traits:

Bilingual (English/Spanish) – required for select caseloads.

Proficient in ABA, PBS, and person-centered planning.

Empathetic, patient, and skilled at building rapport with families and interdisciplinary teams.

Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Organized and detail-oriented, with a commitment to compliance and best practices.
