In this role, you will implement evidence-based behavioral interventions tailored to children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental challenges. The schedule for this client is M-F 9a-3p for a 5 year old male
Responsibilities
Deliver individualized behavioral therapy sessions based on treatment plans developed by licensed clinicians, utilizing principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA).
Collect, record, and analyze data on client progress to inform ongoing treatment strategies and ensure effective intervention.
Support children with autism and other developmental disabilities through engaging activities that promote communication, social skills, and adaptive behaviors.
Maintain accurate medical documentation, including progress notes, session reports, and medical records, while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans and provide consistent support across settings.
Foster a positive, patient-centered environment that encourages trust, motivation, and active participation from clients.
Requirements
Prior experience or training in behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), or working with children with developmental disabilities is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of medical terminology, patient assessment procedures, and medical documentation processes.
Ability to work effectively with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other disabilities in the home.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and secure handling of medical records.
Excellent communication skills to engage clients, families, and team members professionally and compassionately.
Patience, adaptability, and a proactive attitude toward implementing therapeutic strategies.
Relevant certifications or coursework in special education or behavioral health are advantageous but not mandatory.
