Do you want to teach children how to talk? Look no further. Behavioral Connections is hiring behavior technicians to work with children with an autism spectrum diagnosis. You'll use therapies from Applied Behavior Analysis to empower children with language, letting them access the world around them. Many use this position to work their way towards becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Others using it as a stepping stone towards careers in counseling, social work, occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech language pathology, and many more. And many find themselves enjoying this positioning as a fulfilling career. But whatever path you choose, the first step is here. New to the field? No worries. Our training includes an introductory two week training period where you'll learn about the principles of ABA, procedures, and you'll have someone with you as you begin working with the kids. After that, you'll receive supervision and support every day from our Board Certified Behavior Analysts. You'll also gain access to our own Registered Behavior Technician course. Perks Free RBT coursework and competency assessment Paid training Restraint & seclusion free policy Paid holidays No travel Health, dental, vision, & life insurance 401k Company sponsored trip to the Penn State Autism Conference every year Ongoing paid training Our BCBA's have small caseloads of 6-8 clients and are always available during your session Responsibilities: Provide natural environment instruction (mand training, interruption-transitions procedures, stimulus-stimulus pairing procedures, social group, integration, etc.) Conduct Discrete Trial Teaching in the form of Intensive Teaching. Management of problem behavior (with direct supervision by a BCBA) Careful data collection including Continuous ABC recording, mand trials, Intensive Teaching targets, and more. Requirements: A bachelor's degree is preferred but not required. Background in mental health field is preferred. Experience with kids is a must. We can teach you all about ABA,but teaching someone how to play with children is a lot tougher. It's a very physically active as well as technically challenge position, so make sure you're up to task! Ability to pass a background check. - Candidates with availability from 8 am to 5:30 pm are ideal.
