Behavioral Health Acute Care Programs Manager

Our client is a privately owned nonprofit organization, chartered by the State of Florida in 1974. They are governed by a volunteer board of directors and operate programs licensed by the State of Florida. The organization is fully accredited by The Joint Commission and is dedicated to delivering high-quality behavioral health services to the community.
The Position:
Our client is seeking a Behavioral Health Acute Care Programs Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of all Adult Acute Care programs, including clinical, administrative, and supervisory functions. This is a full-time onsite leadership role with no weekend or holiday shifts required, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact on patient care and staff development.
Compensation & Benefits:
- $80,000 – $120,000 base salary (commensurate with experience)

Requirements:
- Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration or related field
- 1–3 years of clinical experience
- 1–3 years of supervisory experience in inpatient programs
- Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration or related field
- Active Florida license (RN, LMHC, LCSW, or Clinical Psychologist)
- 1–3 years of mental health experience
- Advanced knowledge of the acute care system
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all clinical activities across Adult Acute Care programs
- Lead weekly supervisory meetings and oversee treatment teams to ensure high-quality care and appropriate discharge planning
- Monitor client flow to maintain effective utilization rates and continuity of care
- Address client grievances promptly and thoroughly
- Ensure compliance with all legal, UR, and Managed Care requirements (including F.S. §394)
- Collaborate with the Outpatient Director and Facility Director to ensure smooth operations and facility needs are met
- Direct staffing, hiring, orientation, training, evaluation, and scheduling for program staff
- Conduct performance reviews and ensure staff complete required training and development
- Maintain accurate and timely program documentation and communication
- Serve as liaison with community agencies and participate in organizational leadership meetings
