Authentic Recovery Homes. is seeking a compassionate and dependable Qualified Behavioral Health Assistant (QBHA) to support clinical staff and participants in our recovery and behavioral health programs. The QBHA plays a key role in promoting participant stability, engagement, and Authenticwellness through supportive services, behavioral interventions, and daily structure. This position works closely with licensed clinicians and case management staff to support clients in both group and individual settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Support & Engagement
Facilitate recovery groups that support substance use recovery, coping skills, and wellness.
Provide supportive, structured interactions with clients in recovery, both individually and in group settings.
Assist participants in adhering to treatment plans, recovery goals, and daily routines.
Support crisis de-escalation and help maintain a safe, calm, and respectful environment.
Encourage client engagement in services, appointments, and wellness activities.
Program Operations & Documentation
Accurately document all client services, group sessions, and interactions using the BestNotes electronic health record (EHR) system.
Monitor and document participant behaviors, incidents, and service engagement in accordance with program requirements.
Assist with intakes, orientations, and group facilitation under supervision.
Participate in treatment team meetings to provide input on client progress and observations.
Help coordinate transportation, appointments, and community resources as needed.
Collaboration & Compliance
Work under the direction of licensed clinical staff and follow all HIPAA, safety, and confidentiality regulations.
Support implementation of trauma-informed and culturally responsive services.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities.
Qualifications:
Required:
QBHA Certification
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to build rapport with clients experiencing mental health, substance use, and/or housing challenges.
Familiarity with trauma-informed and harm reduction principles.
Ability to document services accurately in BestNotes or similar EHR systems.
Preferred:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in human services, psychology, or a related field.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
Previous experience in recovery homes, shelters, or community-based settings.
Work Environment:
Work may be performed in recovery residences, shelters, outpatient clinics, or community settings.
Must be comfortable working with individuals in crisis or who have co-occurring disorders.
Occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays may be required.
