Job Duties:
Administer the BioLytical INSTI HIV-1/HIV-2 test in clinical settings via scheduled sites, appointments and/or walk-in customers as requested.
Complete the CTR (900) Form and Assessment for all human immunodeficiency virus(HIV) screenings. Obtain a prior voluntary signature on the HIV Information and Testing Agreement before a test is administered and collect basic demographic information re race, gender and the number of clients served.
Refer individuals with a reactive test result to the Virginia Beach Health Department for follow-up and supportive resources.
Provide HIV Education and Testing at assigned sites and be flexible to provide unscheduled testing as requested.
Assist with coordinating information for reporting requirements as required for the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) HIV-EIS and HIV testing grants.
Submit required reports in a timely manner in accordance with the HIV-EIS and HIV testing grant standards.
Assist during HIV special events as per HIV-EIS grant perimeters
Hours/Shift: Up to 25 hours/week, flexible, may include evening and weekend hours
Minimum/Special/Additional Requirements:
Previous HIV experience to diverse populations. Requires a High School Diploma of GED and one (1) year of direct client care of customer services-related experience. Must have current and valid Virginia or North Caroline Driver’s License.
