Behavioral Health Billing Specialist

Location: Atco, NJ Employment Type: Part Time Onsite 20 Hours Per Week (No Remote Hours) Rate: $18/hour to $23/hour

We’re seeking a detail-oriented, compliance-savvy Billing Specialist to ensure our services are billed accurately, timely, and in alignment with payer requirements

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, review, and submit claims to Medicaid and other payers.

Monitor claim status, research rejections/denials, and process appeals.

Post payments, reconcile accounts, and maintain accurate billing records.

Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to resolve billing discrepancies.

Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and all payer regulations.

Qualifications

Required:

2+ years of medical or behavioral health billing experience.

Strong knowledge of coding for behavioral health services.

Familiarity with Medicaid/Medicare and CSOC/PerformCare billing guidelines.

Proficiency in EHR and billing software.

High attention to detail and organizational skills.
