    Position Overview:

    PsyPhyCare is seeking experienced Behavioral Health Clinicians to provide community-based behavioral health treatment services to adults involved with the federal criminal justice system in Rapid City, South Dakota.

    Clinicians may provide services in one or more areas, including mental health treatment, substance use disorder treatment, co-occurring treatment, crisis intervention, and sex offender treatment , based on their professional licensure, qualifications, and experience.

    Candidates must have appropriate professional licensure or certification and demonstrated experience providing clinical services to a criminal justice population.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Depending on qualifications and assigned services, responsibilities may include:

    • Conduct behavioral health intake screenings and assessments.
    • Develop individualized treatment plans.
    • Provide individual behavioral health counseling.
    • Facilitate therapeutic group counseling.
    • Provide substance use disorder treatment and counseling.
    • Provide mental health and co-occurring disorder treatment.
    • Provide sex offender treatment when appropriately qualified.
    • Conduct crisis intervention assessments.
    • Complete clinical documentation and written reports within required timeframes.
    • Monitor client progress and update treatment plans as appropriate.
    • Coordinate with program personnel and other treatment professionals.
    • Utilize evidence-based treatment approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) or compatible evidence-based practices.
    • Maintain appropriate confidentiality and professional standards when working with justice-involved clients.

    The solicitation specifically requires the contractor to use CBT or other evidence-based programming compatible with CBT.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Current and valid professional license or certification appropriate for the clinical services being provided.
    • License must permit the clinician to perform the proposed services in South Dakota.
    • Demonstrated professional experience providing behavioral health services to a criminal justice population.
    • Experience must include one or more of the following:
      • Substance Use Disorder Treatment
      • Mental Health Treatment
      • Co-Occurring Disorder Treatment
      • Sex Offender Treatment
    • Ability to provide appropriate clinical documentation and reports.
    • Ability to maintain all professional, ethical, confidentiality, and regulatory requirements.

    Criminal justice experience is required for proposed counseling personnel. The federal solicitation requires resumes to document experience working with a criminal justice population and describe the clinical services provided.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience working with federal, state, or local correctional/community supervision populations.
    • Experience providing services to probation, parole, reentry, or other justice-involved populations.
    • Experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
    • Experience treating co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
    • Experience conducting crisis intervention assessments.
    • Experience facilitating therapeutic groups.
    • Experience providing sex offender treatment.
