Behavioral Health Content Coordinator
Full‑Time | Remote (U.S.) Salary: $45,000–$55,000 DOE
About Us Digital Elements Group is a fast‑growing digital marketing agency specializing in the behavioral health sphere. Our clients include addiction treatment centers, mental health programs, and recovery‑focused organizations across the U.S. We create warm, trustworthy, SEO‑friendly content that helps people find the care they need.
We’re looking for a Behavioral Health Content Coordinator who can write clear, empathetic, accurate content, and who understands the world of treatment, recovery, and/or mental health from real experience.
If you’ve worked in a treatment center and/or have lived experience in recovery and are a capable SEO writer, this role may be a great fit.
Position Overview
The Behavioral Health Content Coordinator supports our Content Manager by writing, editing, and organizing content across multiple client accounts. This role blends writing, light SEO, and content operations (Trello, WordPress formatting, internal linking, etc.).
You’ll help create SEO content that feels human, trustworthy, and grounded, not generic, overly dry and clinical, or templated. You don’t need to be a senior writer, but you do need to write clean, trustworthy copy and be eager to learn our style.
This is a great role for someone early in their SEO writing career with the required experience who wants stability, mentorship, and the chance to grow.
Key Responsibilities
Write clear, empathetic, accurate content about addiction, recovery, and mental health
Draft and revise blog posts, service pages, and treatment‑related content
Improve and humanize AI‑assisted drafts when appropriate
Follow SEO guidelines (headers, keyword alignment, search intent)
Format and prepare content in WordPress (no coding required)
Help manage content tasks in Trello and keep workflows organized
Perform light editing and quality checks on drafts
Assist with internal linking, metadata, and content updates
Collaborate closely with the Content Manager to maintain voice and quality
Able to ramp up quickly and produce strong, reliable drafts after initial training.
Required Qualifications
Strong writing skills with the ability to produce clean, human, empathetic content
Working knowledge of SAMH treatment concepts, levels of care etc.
Strong, current knowledge of SEO writing principles
Ability to follow editorial direction and adapt to a consistent voice
Strong attention to detail and reliability
Comfort working in Trello or similar tools
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)
Experience working in a treatment center, mental health program, or recovery‑focused organization
Personal familiarity with recovery culture, addiction, or mental health (lived experience or close proximity)
Experience formatting or editing content in WordPress
Experience working with AI writing tools for brainstorming or first‑draft support
What Helps Someone Succeed in This Role
You enjoy writing and improving content with empathy and accuracy
You’re reliable, organized, and comfortable working within clear processes
You’re open to feedback and eager to learn our voice and style
You have personal familiarity with recovery or mental health and can write about it authentically.
You’re looking for a stable, long‑term role where you can grow your skills over time
Benefits
Competitive salary
Remote work flexibility
Health insurance
Paid time off and holidays
