Job Summary
We are seeking a Group Leader to join our team! In this role, you will establish the therapeutic environment by setting goals and norms, facilitates communication by encouraging participation and modeling healthy interactions, and maintains the group's progress by managing conflicts, providing feedback, and keeping the session focused and supportive. The leader also helps members process their experiences, apply insights, and adhere to ethical and professional standards. Group sessions will be Monday through Friday, (1) one - (2) two hours daily. Must be able to train in Las Vegas, Nevada for two (2) weeks (All Expenses paid) If you want to make a difference in your community and your clients' lives, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
Create a Therapeutic Environment by;
Set the stage: The leader establishes clear guidelines for group interactions and behavior, referred to as group norms, and explains the session's structure and goals to all members.
Ensure safety and respect: The leader creates a safe, supportive, and ethical atmosphere where members feel comfortable and respected enough to share their thoughts and emotions.
Manage conflicts, de-escalate tensions and protect confidentiality.
Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of patient information and treatment plan.
Adhere to all facility and licensing standards including a willingness to learn other office procedures.
Qualifications
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Health & Human Services
Previous experience in behavioral health preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including active listening always showing empathy and understanding
Organization; planning sessions, managing time and documenting outcomes
