    Nurse Practitioner

    We are currently seeking a compassionate and licensed Nurse Practitioner to join a brand-new, state-of-the-art 24-hour Medical Treatment Center in Albuquerque, NM. This mission-driven role starts mid-August, with a full month of paid training in September to ensure seamless onboarding into this low-acuity, SUD-focused environment.

    About the Facility

    This newly built facility is designed to alleviate strain on local emergency departments by providing continuous care for individuals with Substance Use Disorders (SUDs). Patients are referred from EMS, law enforcement, sobering centers, and Albuquerque's ACS program. The building supports 30 beds and serves a maximum of 50 patients daily in a non-acute environment.

    Compensation & Benefits

    • Up to $125,000 annually, depending on experience and licensure

    Schedule

    • Full-time, exempt
    • 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM (Evening shift)
    • Monday through Friday
    • 30-minute flexible lunch break

    Key Responsibilities

    • Receive and process EMS intakes, including full clinical assessments using CIWA, COWS, and other standard withdrawal protocols
    • Prescribe and administer medications such as Suboxone, Narcan, and supportive pharmacologic treatments
    • Collaborate closely with a nationally recognized Director of Sobering Design (PhD, RN)
    • Document care using the Credible EMR system
    • Participate in escalation protocols and provide leadership in clinical decision-making
    • Ensure safe, ethical, and trauma-informed care for individuals managing withdrawal symptoms
    • Work alongside and support a clinical team that includes LPNs, RNs, and intake specialists

    Qualifications

    • Licensed Nurse Practitioner in the state of New Mexico
    • Controlled Substance License and ability to prescribe within the state
    • DEA registration with authority to prescribe medications for opioid use disorder (e.g., Suboxone)
    • At least 2 years of experience in a clinical or behavioral health setting (leadership experience a plus)
    • Experience with SUD or Behavioral Health strongly preferred (training provided if not)
    • Must be compassionate, proactive, and adaptable
    • Strong patient communication, de-escalation, and collaboration skills
