    Step-By-Step Behavioral Health Services, LLC is a community-based behavioral health organization committed to providing compassionate, high-quality mental health services to children, adolescents, adults, and families.     Pay: $16–$18 per hour (based on experience) Schedule: Monday–Wednesday | 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM (18 hours/week) Location: On-site (community behavioral health setting)

    We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Behavioral Health Operations & Access Coordinator to support the daily administrative and intake operations of our Behavioral Health Department. This part-time, hourly role is crucial in ensuring timely access to services, facilitating smooth coordination with insurance companies, and providing strong support to clinicians and families.

    Key Responsibilities

    Manage behavioral health intakes and referrals

    Conduct initial screenings and collect demographic, consent, and insurance information

    Schedule intake appointments and manage waitlists

    Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and authorization requirements

    Communicate with insurance companies and managed care organizations

    Submit and track prior authorizations and reauthorizations

    Maintain accurate client records in the electronic health record (EHR) system

    Coordinate referrals with schools, hospitals, probation, and community partners

    Ensure HIPAA compliance and confidentiality

    Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, families, and staff

    Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Required:

    High school diploma or GED

    Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or social services

    Strong organizational and communication skills

    Ability to handle sensitive information professionally

    Preferred:

    Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field

    Experience with Medicaid and managed care insurance

    Familiarity with intake, referral, or authorization processes
