House of Hope is a dedicated non-profit organization providing life-changing support to individuals on their journey to recovery. We are currently seeking a compassionate and vigilant Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join our team for our 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM shift. In this role, you will be the backbone of our daily operations, directly ensuring a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment where our clients can truly heal.
What You Will Do (Core Responsibilities)
Maintain Safety: Monitor client behavior and activities through regular perimeter and dormitory checks.
Support Clinical Teams: Promptly report health, safety, or behavioral concerns to the clinical staff.
Empower Clients: Assist and train clients with basic daily living skills and personal hygiene needs.
Provide Care: Offer consistent positive reinforcement and emotional support to clients in recovery.
Collaborate Daily: Adapt smoothly to shifting facility needs and perform other BHT duties as assigned.
What We Are Looking For (Requirements)
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: One year of BHT or mental health technician experience is highly preferred.
Specialization: Prior experience working directly with substance abuse populations is a plus.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written interpersonal skills.
Tech-Savvy: Basic computer literacy for logging daily notes and reporting incidents.
